MYLA at PLL Semi-finals

Medina Youth Lacrosse players congratulate hometown hero Kyle Bernlohr (2nd grade Medina youth lacrosse) and his PLL Whipsnakes LC on their semi-final win over #1 seed Chaos LC.  Chaos quickly jumped out to a 3-1 lead.  Whipsnakes clawed their way back to take the lead by halftime and never looked back.  A 2-point bomb and then a diving goal by attack Matt Rambo early in the 3rd quarter and the Whipsnakes pulled away for the 15 - 7 victory.  A big THANK YOU to the Bernlohr family for providing tickets to MYLA members!  Good luck in the championship game in Philadelphia Kyle!

Boys MS State Runners Up!

After advancing through the bracket with a 3-0 record, our Medina Youth Lacrosse Boys Middle School team battled the Dublin John Sells Middle School Shamrocks at the OMSLA State championship this weekend.

After spotting Sells a 6 goal lead in the first eight minutes, Medina turned the tide holding Sells to a single goal the rest of the game.  With staunch defense backing up leading scorer Rocco Periandri, Medina posted 2 goals in the second quarter and 3 more in the third.  Although the final score (Sells 7 - Medina 5) tipped the scales in Sells favor, the Bees showed incredible poise and resilience and were awarded the Division IV State Runner Up trophy.

Congratulations to the entire Boys Middle School Team and Coaches Brian Zawada, Matt Svec, & Jeff Kobza.  We also wish Anderson and Rocco a speedy recovery!
